MONKEY BAR Update...USA vs. Canada!!!

Who says Canadians take their ice hockey too seriously!!!!!!

A lone unsuspecting US ice hockey fan who strayed into the Monkey Bar during the Gold Medal Ice hockey final in Vancouver and found himself out numbered by a group of Canadian guests was, for once in his life, left speechless when the Canadians netted the golden goal in the last seconds of overtime.

Ahead of the game, local resident and friend James displayed the cigar he was planning to smoke after the game in celebration of the imminent US victory, the whereabouts of the cigar are still unknown……………..

Travel Specialist & Travel Agent

Dear Travel Specialist, Tour Operator, And Mom & Pop Travel Agency;

A while back I wrote you a snail mail letter encouraging you to sign up to our travel adviser letter for those with interest in traveling or sending your clients to Costa Rica & Nicaragua.

As some of you may well know I have been involved with the Flamingo Marina Resort and Hacienda Iguana Golf & Beach Resort group for well over 12 years now. First in Flamingo Beach then in Iguana Beach and now back in Flamingo again. All the while I do travel between both locations and often I frequent many areas visited by tourists. The most frequent question I seem to get is how easy is it to travel between Costa Rica & Nicaragua? It is really quite simple. I would consider it much easier to get from one country to another always when it is without bringing a vehicle. It really does not matter what Nationality or where one holds their residency...as long as you do not try to bring in pets! Like the time my wife tried bringing our two lovely love birds Piolin (Tweety) and Lukas with us. My wife had all the legal documents in the world, and we were cleared to cross through the boarder, but once one customs office saw that my wife was Nicaraguan and we were coming into Costa Rica..."Whoa stop that carriage!" We now needed to go to San Jose and get another permit! At that moment I realized that it would be easier to acquire a permit to bring in legalized marijuana then it was going to be to bring in our two loved ones. Well lets just say that $20 later and a treacherous bridge crossing the two love birds are here in the hotel and now we are awaiting 10 babies!!!

Samy is our beloved Cockatoo whom loves to whistle at me when i get out of the shower....we know she is female! I could not leave her out of this blog for fear of her not whistling at me tomorrow morning!

Please stay posted for later reading about Ileana Zeledon's travels to Washington and Philly and all those of you she met and those she wants you to follow this blog! Ileana is the Marketing Manger for Flamingo Marina Resort and Hacienda Iguana.
